I've just been blogging on my personal website instead of double posting junk here.
Also I do more of the micro blog thing now via the Twitter.
I was always a fragmented thinker so this medium works nicely.

I've pretty much phased Vox out...but I do still read my Neighborhood in my favorite newsreader...Google Reader.
The marketing buzz and hype did it for me. I broke down and bought Halo 3 on my way home from work today. I've never played a Halo game before and had to see for myself (so I can justify my reasons when I make fun of all the jerks who love FPS games) why everyone has gone ape-shit over this series. Gave into the hype for Bioshock (another FPS) which I absolutely loved for it's excellent art direction and story, so I figured maybe I'd love Halo 3 if I gave it a chance.
Well for starters I only played the first chapter of campaign and one deathmatch online. The graphics are nice but Gears of War it's not—sick of hearing that comparison yet?. So far I don't really see what is so amazing about this series, maybe I'll be proven wrong in later chapters. You run around, jump, and shoot at aliens. Oooooh never did that before. Gag.
From what I've read the story isn't all that involved, but I'm sure it's way better if you have an investment in the characters from playing the first two games—I don't. With that all said this game could be pretty fun if some of my friends pick it up and we do 4 player co-op online. I actually enjoyed my one game of Slayer because I dominated for once. I'm sure that'll be short lived once I'm paired up with the 12 yr olds who will proceed to PWN me.
The community aspects of this game might just hook me. When you pull up your friends' profiles in the Xbox blade, you see all kinds of new options. You can see whose in your friends' party, there game stats, there videos, and all kinds of other stuff. Didn't really monkey around with it much but bungie.net links up with your profile and has a wealth of stats. I think you can even view your high res photos and movies you post from within the game. That could really fun.
So who is going to pick this up and play with me?
Since the iPhone isn't coming to Sprint in the next couple of years I've been thinking of what I want in a new phone. I've absolutely loved my Palm Treos (600 & 650) that I've had for the last 3 years and wouldn't mind sticking with Palm. Looks like they're about ready to drop a new model of phone called the Centro. It's not quite the Treo, but it's smaller and will be about $100 with contract. Which compared to the Treo is a savings of around $300. I bought both of mine for $600 so this could be a slam dunk.
No specs have been released. But if it has EV-DO, Bluetooth, and can run all my current Palm apps (don't see why it couldn't) then I'm going to get this. Heard some negative stuff about the keyboard being smaller, really that doesn't bother me. I think it looks great!
So I'm going to show my dorkdum right now. The theme song for the upcoming Transformers movie; directed by Michael Bay, popped up on the tubes today. Not sure what band this is by, but it sounds like a lot like Linkin' Park. Hah this shit is so horrible. It doesn't even hold a candle to the 80's hair metal version Lion did for the original Transformers The Movie. Take a listen and let me know which one is better.
Upon getting home from watching LOST at a friends, I re-watched the Jacob scene in high definition. Noticed some things playing it in slow motion. For a split second you can see "Jacob" when Ben rushes over to the empty chair. He is obstructed by some heavy shadows but I swear he looks like a haggard version Christian Shepherd who hasn't shaved in a bit. Also when he says "help me" it sounds like Dr. Shepherd. Could make sense why only certain people can see and hear him since he's dead, and probably has something to do with the smoke monster.
So being the dork that I am I took some shitty videos with my digital camera and posted them here. I'm sure by tomorrow morning the high resolution images and video clips will be all over the tubes and will prove me wrong. Upon looking at some older episodes that Mike dude from the hippie commune that Locke grew pot on looks sort of like this Jacob figure too. But I can't remember what his voice sounded like to put two and two together. After thinking about this some more I think it could be this dood. He was the leader of one commune wouldn't be that far fetched for him to be the leader of another.
What do you think? Man my head hurts thinking about all this.
